IPTX Deputy Director Receives Prestigious Award
Today, IPTX’s own Deputy Director, Allison Clayton, was presented the Authur von Briesen Award by the National Legal Aid and Defender Association (NLADA). NLADA is an organization itself more than 100 years old and one of the most well-respected nonprofits in the nation committed to legal services for low-income people. The Authur von Briesen award is only presented every four years to one attorney in the nation who has made substantial contributions to serving the poor and defending the indigent. Competition for the award is highly competitive. In accepting her award, Allison talked to the 500-person crowd about the importance and impact of sacrifice, her fulfilling work for IPTX, and how there is still so much more work to be done for the wrongly convicted.
